Coors Brewery Tour

Coors Brewery Tour takes you inside the largest single-site brewery in the world in Golden, where a 90-minute walk through malting, brewing and packaging ends with fresh beer in the hospitality lounge at the foot of the Rocky Mountains.

Coors Brewery Tour in Golden, CO

Adolph Coors and Jacob Schueler founded the brewery beside Clear Creek in Golden in 1873, and it has been brewing there ever since. Today it is part of Molson Coors and remains the largest single-site brewery operating anywhere. The tour shows how the brewery turns barley into beer, from the malting process to rows of gleaming copper brew kettles and the packaging lines, and it shares old photos, neon signs, historic beer cans, bottles and memorabilia from the company archives. Because it is a working facility, production depends on distributor needs, so videos along the route show any steps that aren’t running during your visit.

Every visit begins at the tour parking lot at 502 14th Street, at the southeast corner of 13th and Ford streets, where a shuttle takes you to the brewery complex. Tours run Thursday through Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Reservations are required for tours and lounge visits and are released 25 days in advance at midnight Mountain Time, so book early. Tickets are $22.50 for adults 21 and over and $17.50 for ages 3 to 20 and for active military and veterans, while a hospitality lounge–only visit is $12.50 for adults and $10 for minors and military; children under 3 are free, and a 10% service fee plus tax applies. All ages are welcome with an adult 21 or older, but drinkers must show a valid photo ID. Bags, strollers and pets (other than service animals) aren’t allowed, though small wallets and wearable baby carriers are fine.
