Dry Dock Brewing Co. was founded in 2005 by Kevin DeLange and Michelle Reding. It began as a small operation attached to their homebrew supply shop, The Brew Hut, which remains a popular destination for homebrewers.

Dry Dock quickly gained recognition, winning its first Great American Beer Festival medal in 2006 for its HMS Victory ESB.
